When I first looked for a new vocal coach, I specifically wanted to learn how to improve hearing and singing pitch. It has been months since I've had this current vocal coach and I can comfortably say that even the smallest improvement in pitch is worth everything it took to get me to this point. By continuing what I'm doing, I'm certain I can get to that higher level of mastery that I'm aiming to achieve.

As I look back on how music has affected my life, I can comfortably say that music has been a part of my life but I had never taken it seriously until a few years ago. I remember sharing with a classmate in high school that I really enjoy music and they asked me, "Why don't you pursue music?"
That question sparked a seed in my brain that didn't manifest until much later...I just didn't really believe that a career in music would work for me. The years to follow would consist of my fandom of music and music artists, but again, I never considered a career in music.
After a tumultuous life starting during/after my college years, I fell into a very dark place and was at rock bottom. This would continue for a long time and really gave me perspective once I accepted my situation. That acceptance opened my life up like a flower in bloom and I thought to myself...
"I really enjoy music...why don't I give it a shot? I've got nothing to lose."
Music has been therapeutic, stimulating, engaging, and so much more. I've tried a lot of things in the past and nothing quite keeps me going like music. Thanks for reading!
